Low Brass

Low brass instruments are lower in pitch than regular brass instruments (trumpets, trombones, french horns, etc.), adding tonality and range to concert and marching bands. Most low brass instruments are written in the bass cleft, as they are pitched within the baritone and bass range.

Jean Baptiste is proud to offer a diverse line of low brass instruments that offer exception value, tone and build quality. The line includes baritone horns and euphoniums that provide rich deep sound in both orchestral and marching band settings, tubas that are pitched even lower (considered contrabass instruments) and sousaphones to handle the tonal attributes of the tuba in mobile performance applications.
